One big contribution of the industrial revolution now going on in Mariveles is the self-employment generated in the surrounding localities made possible by the salaries and wages that flow into the local economy.
People started spending money pushing up the prices of commodities eventually providing gainful livelihood for small and medium entrepreneurs in the locality.
REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT
Real estate development around the town which has been very slow during the past decade is now progressing rapidly with several subdivisions sprouting within the in outlaying baranggays.
Apartments are being built around the town to accommodate workers and executives and their families.
Multinational firms likewise built grand staff houses for their expatriates and Filipino executives at Brgy. Malaya, inside the Bataan Economic Zone.
REVENUE COLLECTION
The most significant contribution of the industrialization of Mariveles, is the economic gains the town has achieved in terms of revenue collections.
In Year 2001, Mariveles topped the revenue collection performance among the 11 towns and 1 city in Bataan making it the richest town in the province.
It was also the year when Mariveles was reclassified from a 2nd class town to a 1st class municipality when its revenue collection reached PhP121.5 million. Mariveles still remains the undisputed No. 1 in terms of revenue collection in Bataan,
