Local Tax Incentives

Consistent to its vision and in order to promote the flow and entry of investors of both foreign and local to selected areas of investments around the Municipality, a Municipal Investment Incentive Ordinance was promulgated by the Sangguniang Bayan of Mariveles, as follows:

TAX INCENTIVES

1. Exemption from paying business tax (as provided for under Section 143 (a) Article 2, Book II R.A. 160
2. Exemption from basic real property tax for:
   1. Three (3) years – for new or expansion projects worth P5M to P50M
   2. Five (5) years – for new or expansion projects worth over P50M
3. Exemption from tax on Transfer of Real Property Ownership for five (5) years.
4. Exemption from Franchise Tax for three (3) years.
5. Exemption from Amusement Tax for five (5) years.

PRIVILEGES

1. Free use of goverment land owned by the Municipality for a period of 10 years.
2. Exemption from inspection and examination of books of accounts except when allowed by the Board.

• Manufacturing enterprises using raw materials available locally
• Tourism-Oriented Enterprises
• Service-Oriented Enterprises
• Processing Plants
• Water and Power Resource Development Firms
• Telecommunication Companies
• Agri-Business
• Labor Generating Enterprises
